A loving portrait of the first pigs I ever met.  Getting to know these sweet beings has been such a wonderful learning experience.  The qualities of their personalities and emotions are truly endearing.  As an ethical vegan, my desire is to show them to the world as feeling individuals who cherish life! They are painted without ear tags as a gesture of respect - for no being should be considered property...no being should be exploited and murdered.

The kunekune  (ˈkuːnɪkuːnɪ ) is a small breed of domestic pig from New Zealand. Kunekune are hairy, with a rotund build and some may bear wattles hanging from their lower jaws.
