In recent years I had the privilege of getting to know a family of Nubian goats - spanning several generations. They are extremely close and affectionate creatures and being accepted into their herd was a very heartwarming experience. "Paw Paula" was one of a set of triplets. All were beautiful and very endearing but Paw Paula seemed to connect with me very closely soon after her birth. She would gaze at me so warmly with her lovely golden eyes and follow me where ever I went. I learned the particular way she liked her face and back rubbed and caressed. The moment I stopped - she would gently paw at me until I resumed her grooming and love. I was rewarded with silly noises and kisses on my face. Those sweet reminders with her paw became her trademark right into her adulthood. She will always have a special place in my heart. Each and every goat I have met has a unique and fascinating personality. Each has taught me the special gift of connection. Please get to know our wondrous Earth Family and offer them the respect and consideration they all deserve.

A tender portrait of sheep - conveying their emotions before the ordeal of shearing day.
On this spring day the feelings of bewilderment, confusion, panic, fear and dread fill the air.  Sadly, throughout history, humans have bred these beautiful animals to be wool and meat slaves.  Most have lost their ability to shed naturally with the seasons and the summer heat becomes unbearable with an extra heavy fur coat.  The tedious transport, rough handling, razor burns, cuts and gashes are very stressful for these gentle and sensitive beings. Many ewes have recently given birth and are still nursing.  Weather can change quickly and shorn sheep are naked to the elements...sun, wind, rain and cold spells. Most never have the option of shelter or medical care for their injuries.
My desire is that people will get to know and better understand sheep...treating them with respect, kindness and compassion. They are NOT "livestock" for our use or profit.
They are extraordinary beings ~ who live for their own reasons ~ and should be free from slavery, exploitation and murder.  Please, let them live in peace.

Each of my drums are original paintings - no two alike - created with great care and spiritual intentions. They may be hung as fine art and be played for music enjoyment, mediation and ceremony with a soft mallet. Painted on quality REMO Buffalo Drums - 16" x 3.5" frame drum. Includes mallet. The NON-LEATHER, cruelty free Fiberskyn head is pulled over a 3.5 inch deep frame/acousticon shell- providing excellent resonance. Braided cords are used for cross bracing to add to the look and feel of the Buffalo Drum. The center of the cording is comfort-coated for comfort. Beat near the center of the drum for deep pitches and accent them with higher pitch rhythms from the edge of the drum. *The synthetic drum head is more tone stable in various humidity and temperatures than animal skin drums. Every drummer I have spoken with compliments their durability and rich tone quality! SUMATRAN TIGER ~ New oil painting

SUMATRAN TIGER ~ Panthera Tigris Sumatrae

The Sumatran tiger as its name suggests is found only on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia.  It is the smallest of the tigers alive today - a Sumatran male will measure an average of 2.4m from its nose to the tip of its tail and weigh between100-170kg.  
Sadly, like all tigers-- the Sumatran is critically endangered because of poaching and habitat destruction there are as few as 350 left in the wild today.
Please protect our precious wildlife before it is too late.
